The house is located in the small bay Lumbarajsko Racisce ("Loom-bar-aysko Rach-ish-che" - good luck with that one) which is located 1 km (0,62 miles) from the center of Lumbarda and 5 km (3.1miles) from the town of Korcula.

The house has two 2 bedroom apartments - Apt. A and Apt. B which are equally private and with the view of the beautiful little bay.

One of the great advantages of our house is its location and peaceful atmosphere, surrounded by pine trees on one side and 50m ( 54 yards) down the road you can enjoy a swim or snorkel along the great rocky coastline. If you have children Lumbarda has two nice sandy beaches 1km away. The best and the biggest one is called Przina and its located on the southeast side of the village. The water is still shallow at about 80m (262ft) from the coast. In high season (July and August) the beaches are pretty full and therefore we prefer the beach closest to our house, just down the road where the sea is clean and clear.

Across Lumbarda is archipelago of 19 smaller islands. Two larger ones are Badija and Vrnik with wonderful beaches and no cars! Badija has a 14 th century Franciscan monastery and church. We recommend viewing a cloister from 1477. with gothic arcades and arches.

Vrnik, which is directly across form our bay, on the other hand has impressive stone-pits (dated from the roman times) and old sea captains houses that sailed the world in XVIII .century. With the Vrnik stone the Venetian Dulce Palace was built, Aja Sofia in Istanbul and many other buildings around the world.

You can reach and explore these islands with a small motor boat that can be rented locally or by water-taxis leaving from Lumbarda village or town of Korcula.

Its is a truly unique place for a summer family vacation and in spring and fall for taking long walks around the island or riding the bikes along many paths among the olive groves, fig trees and many local vineyards.
